Ty Evans Promo 2007 - 14 Year old shredder from Kelowna B.C.
December 12, 2007Published by gregcHey, my name is Greg Christie and I have recently helped film and edit a short promo of my buddy Tyler Evans. I have known Ty for about 3 years now and have been riding with him for 2. Ty has progressed a lot over the last season, and it's just so fun to watch one of your best buddy's looking to step it up and take it to a new level. If you knew Ty you would know he is either on his bike at the time or thinking about his bike. He is just a fun person to be around on, or off the trail. The kid at only 14 years old is a great rider, with potential. And you gotta love his attitude towards our sport. This summer was the greatest time of my life riding with him. And I look forward to the next to come.

wow, that was a short film. you got insane skills for someone your age! stick with it and you could definitely be professionally sponsored by 17, no doubt.
tbh i'm not too impressed, but he is good, but i have seen lots of 13-15 year old guys doing the same stuff or even better tricks then that! There are lots of good slopestylekids out there, your one of them!
im with you on that one, im 14 and i can pull those tricks and more too, he just has the places to go ride.
Plus he doesn't have to fight in a war or work 16 hours a day to support his family.I would be impressed if he was from Rwanda and could still do the same tricks by the same age.

Looking good man, I liked the no handers and the x-ups, keep working at whips and flatties to get your style down. At 14 you are doing good, just remember the most important thing is to have fun, don't get discouraged if you aren't offered a big juicy contract based on this footage, there are a lot of kids with this skill level, the thing that will seperate you from the pack is a good attitude and attendance at events or competitions. Personally I think this is a great little feature where two friends have ridden a bunch together and made a good little flick out of it. The idea behind a "promo" video is to showcase a rider's talents and yes you'll always find a rider that seems to be able to "one up" the next rider, but that is what makes progression happen. I watched the film and I'm twice his age and I can tell you that I cannot do most of the tricks he's pulling. If you've got better footage and think you deserve to be showcased, then take the time to submit it and we'll take the time to show you on site too. Have a great holiday season and put those editing programs to work. Great Video Greg and Ty!

he is pretty good, but there are lots of 14 years olds with this skill level, still nice pics and nice video
i could do more tricks then that and i'm 13, but like that guy said he has way more places to ride at.

Bullshit. All these people saying that they would be better if they had the trails and jumps can get cancer. If you want jumps like these, build them. If you wnt trails, build them. It's what the Kelowna locals do.

Ok first off isnt this supposed to be a forum where people who do THE SAME SPORT congratulate another rider!!!, tell him he is good. Kids today seem that its all about location and the bike etc etc. Yeah the location helps, if I could ride that stuff everyday I would be a better rider too. brule is right here. the kid is 14 years old when I was 14 i didn;t do that stuff now I do. It all takes time. and the promo is a cool video as well. A little short but that is awesome how his friend put together the stuff. Great stuff kids keep it up

Nice work dude. You should post up some more I'm sure the community here would like to see some progression. After all in ways of sponsorship your going to need it, we have guys in Adelaide (Australia SA) at 14 and 15 that beat you hands down. Bit of a shame its so much harder to get recognized here.
i work 4 my bikes how u get urs took me five years to build one up as sick as it is started off at 14 on a hardtail mongoose with rst forks plus u got all the dope spots

hes good at riding for his age, but theres other kids who deserve a sponsorship more who just aren't recognized, I think sponsor's are also looking for more than no handers and x-ups.

My brother can do all that, but we don't have enough money to buy a nice video or picture camera. And his bike is an 03' Big Hit with monster t's(the cheapest version). oh yeah, we don't have any good places to ride except for 100 miles away. He would kick this kid in the ass in academics and athletics, especially if he had the opportunities this kid has. Peace out.
